Yellow split peas are quick & easy to cook and are a convenient pantry standby. It has a mild earthy flavor and a firm, smooth texture. They hold their shape when cooked or they can be boiled until soft and creamy. A perfect addition to veggie burgers, hot pots and hearty soups.
How to Use:
Yellow split peas do not need to be soaked before cooking. Rinse it before cooking, bring to the boil, reduce heat to medium and cook for about 45 min. or until tender. Drain and use as needed in soups, broth and slow-cooked hot pots.
